DESCRIPTIVE INFORMATION:
Title: Little Bird Course: Design: grade 9 Artist: Amanda Fairchild Teacher: Mrs. Johnson Subject Matter: A Small bird in its nest Medium: discarded books, clear glue Project Goal: (Describe the techniques, skills developed or overall objective of this project.) PERSONAL REVIEW:
I like this project because it was fun making something of of something else. I needed to find a way to make the nest so I took strips of page and glued them together in a circle pattern, one layer on top of another. If I were to make another book sculpture I would use strips of paper to make grass instead of just using paint to make grass. |
PERSUASIVE EVIDENCE & APPLICATION OF LEARNING:
I have created a variety of different size and shape page shreds in the nest. The book is fairly balanced , and not lopsided. The book, because it is 3D, has tactile texture. The grass, being grass, is a nice cool green color and the robin has a warm red colored belly.
